The “Donaldson” sweet orange is an early-season variety (maturing in December-January) that has been found to exhibit promising tolerance to HLB (citrus greening), according to USDA-ARS research. This discovery has sparked interest in the Florida citrus industry as a potential replacement for the popular, but increasingly susceptible, “Hamlin” orange. Great fruit for juicing.
